What is Kind Comedy?
Clean Comedy that’s also not mean.
It’s very likely someone already uses the term “Kind Comedy,” but we’re afraid to Google it because we’re so proud of ourselves for having come up with it.
What is “quasi-open-mic”?
We invite submissions in the weeks leading up to the performance and then we accept some and brutally reject others. So kind of open, but we curate the ultimate line-up, so also kind of a friendly dictatorship. But anyone has a shot!
Why do this to us?
There weren’t clean-comedy-open-mic opportunities in Salt Lake County or Utah County. There were gate-kept non-open-mic clean comedy venues, and non-clean-comedy open-mic venues, but there’s an important distinction between those and what we were looking for.
Is it for kids?
Even though it’s Kind Comedy, adults are our target audience. Kids are welcome, but they might not belly laugh. Or at least not at the stand-up.
